Democracy is not a spectator sport.

The Plymouth Democratic Club was formed in 2009 by a group of citizens residing in Plymouth Township and the City of Plymouth. Many of the founding members were inspired by the successful 2008 Obama campaign to build and grow a Democratic coalition within our communities. These citizen activists lobbied for elected officials on pressing civil rights issues, provided volunteers for national, state and local political campaigns and recruited candidates to run for local, state and national office. The Club has also emphasized active community service involvement and mobilized volunteers for several civic and charitable initiatives.
